i got a bit drunk at the captain’s rest waiting around to see if they’d let me in to future islands and one guy said no i’d have to queue up and see but then, like, half an hour later some other nicer guy was way more posi and said while they had no tickets left he could let me in by just giving me this triangle on my hand so i’ve got the triangle!! now i can get some food and head back cos they’re not on till about 10. going to shows on your own is fucking terrible (but i got a lot of work done today).

so i bought my first pair of doc martens. i’m not totally sold that they’re the shoe for me, which totally sucks because i really want to love them and i’ve seen them looking real good on people :’(. they feel too clunky for my feet / i have narrow ankles / they’re too shiny and stiff (yeah, i know, you need to wear them in) and i don’t really think i can pull them off. so i dunno. i’ll look at them for a few more days but might return them and save for a pair of redwings instead or something.
